Paneltalk: Towards Young Postmigrant Alliances

Paneltalk: Towards Young Postmigrant Alliances

Sat, 28.06.2025 16:00 Uhr bis 16:30 Uhr

Cordial invitation to the panel talk on the occasion of the release of our new publication!

On 28 June, we will celebrate the release of our new publication “Towards Young Postmigrant Alliances” and talk to those involved about the key questions that have interested us.

Why do we need strong postmigrant alliances right now? How can we empower young people to cope with these difficult times and play an active role in shaping them? What tensions arise in the process? And what power lies in polyphony?

Because one thing is certain: post-migrant alliances are not a place of unity, but of negotiation. They are trying out a new form of togetherness. Successful alliances are built on empathy, trust, a willingness to reflect and strategic cooperation.

On the panel:

  • Prof. Dr Naika Foroutan, Director of the German Centre for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM) and Board Member of the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe
  • Dr Asmaa Soliman, Programme Lead Young Postmigrant Alliances at the Schwarzkopf Foundation
  • Vinya Mehta, Project Manager Outreach/Policy
  • Dawud Yildirim, Outreach Fellow 2024

Moderation: Julia Steenpaß from our team

When? 28 June at 16:00
Where? Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe, Sophienstraße 28/29, 10178 Berlin

The panel will be held in English.
The talk will take place as part of the courtyard festival of the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europa, which we will be celebrating on 28 June from 14:00-18:30. Also to that, everyone is cordially invited!
