Academies

We aim to give young people the space to explore, deepen their knowledge and skills on various topics and thus strengthen their participation in our post-migrant society. Our academies offer in-depth engagement over a longer period of time and conclude with the development of individual projects.

Media Academy

Islam and Muslims are constantly the subject of media coverage. It is not uncommon for young Muslims to feel misrepresented by stereotypical portrayals. One reason for this is that we often only read and hear the perspective of those who are not affected by exclusionary discourses. With this academy, we support Muslim and BIPoC network members in learning how to use the press and media to disseminate their own narratives and perspectives on social issues.

Untold Stories of Togetherness

There is currently little space for stories of Muslim-Jewish alliances and a multi-perspective culture of remembrance. However, the question of what and who is publicly remembered has a major influence on our present, our current political discourse and social cohesion. With the Untold Stories of Togetherness project, we want to make Muslim-Jewish connections more visible and enable Muslim and Jewish young people to help shape the culture of remembrance with artistic contributions.

Narrative Change Academy

Polarising, racist, and Islamophobic attitudes and discourses pose a major challenge to social cohesion in many European societies. With the Narrative Change Academy we counteract these throughout Europe. The academy’s focus is specifically on the topic of Islam in Europe and how to shape a post-migrant society. Young Europeans acquire strategic communication skills at the academy and work with experts to develop a digital campaign with inclusive, post-migrant narratives about Muslims.

Summer Academy
